The Consular Section of the Mission is responsible for

Passport Services for Indian Nationals,
Visa Services for foreigners desirous of visiting India,
Issue of "Persons of Indian Origin"
(PIO) Card,
Attestation and legalisation of documents, and
'Consular Assistance' to Indian citizens living within the area of jurisdiction of the mission, including visiting seamen.

PIO Scheme - Notice

With effect from 15 September 2002, the fees for PIO Cards, has been reduced to Rs. 15,000.00 (Appx Dh. 3500). New Official notification is reproduced in the PIO pages. Please click here

While the section works during normal working hours of the mission, documents for services are only accepted from
9.00 a.m. to 12.00 NOON
Normally, documents are returned between 3.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. on the same day, unless it requires reference to other authorities of the Government of India.
